This extra virgin olive oil is made using cold extraction from 100% Chetoui olives. Chetoui is a 100% Tunisian olive variety that accounts for 20% of Tunisia's total olive oil production. It is known for its robustness and high polyphenol content. The trees only produce olives every other year. This olive oil has a powerful character with aromas of freshly mown grass, artichoke, and arugula, and a high spiciness. Delicious with eggs, vegetables, meat dishes, stews, and flavorful cheeses.
Chetoui has won gold medals in several prestigious international olive oil competitions (New York, London, and Italy) and was awarded a gold medal at BIOL in Italy in 2024. The BIOL award is one of the most important international prizes for extra virgin olive oil produced using organic farming techniques.
