This extra virgin olive oil is made from the cold extraction of 100% Chetoui olives. Chetoui is a 100% Tunisian olive variety constituting 20% of the Tunisian olive oil production. The variety is famous for its robustness and high polyphenol values. The trees only give olive fruits once every two years. This olive oil has a robust character with aromas of freshly cut grass, artichoke, and rucola, and has a high pungency (spiciness). It pairs well with eggs, vegetables, meat-dishes, stews, and flavorsome cheeses.
The Chetoui has won golden medals in various prestigious international olive oil competitions (New York, London and Italy) and is the winner of a golden medal in BIOL, Italy (2024).
